We think the "Shop Local" program is a tremendous idea and is another reason we believe in the Chamber. We think the program, or something similar, should be continued after the holidays.

Event Description:
The Greater Springfield Chamber will hold its 2012 Golf Outing at Laurel Hill Golf Club, host of the 2013 USGA amateur public links championship. Laurel Hill joins the notables in the world of golf with a prestigious ranking as one of the Top 10 Best New Courses in America by Golf Digest magazine, as well as ranking within the Top 10 Virginia Public Access Courses in 2008 and 2011, according to Golf Week magazine.
The Outing includes lunch, complimentary access to the driving range, 18 holes of golf, on-course refreshments, contest holes, dinner and awards.
In partnership with Dixon Golf there will be a challenge hole where everyone will receive a free Dixon Earth golf ball. Also, for only $10, you will have a chance to receive a free mulligan and other gifts and prizes totaling $200 including a free hybrid golf club!
Net proceeds from the Outing benefit the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce Foundation scholarship fund.
